BMWF Rule Book

All players or those wanting to become a player should read the following rules thoroughly. These rules should be followed at all times. Any player not following these rules will be either temporary suspended from competition or removed from the federation altogether. If you have any questions or problems, please send e-mail to admin@bmwf.net .

Character Generation

The BMWF accepts applications only for original characters. Please visit the Wrestler Creation page for details on creating your own original wrestler. We also will allow you to use a BMWF created "clone" of a real wrestler. During the application process, you will be asked whether you want to create an original wrestler or use a clone. You'll then be directed to the correct form for that type of character. We will NOT accept applications for real wrestlers or your own clones.

For original wrestlers, use the application form to record your character.  Try to be as thorough as possible so we know exactly what type of character you are trying to be. Please note that the BMWF reserves the right to reject any application based upon how the character would fit within the federation and its current roster or if it fails to meet our guidelines or for any other reason deemed necessary by the BMWF.

New players are limited to one wrestler character or one tag team. This does not include non-player characters (NPCs) such as managers, valets, etc. who cannot be used to compete in matches (except in rare occurrences), but they may have some influence on match outcome through interference, etc.

How Matches Are Played

Match outcomes are determined by several factors such as simulator program results and role-playing. Most results will be determined by the simulator, but some will be determined by role-playing.

The BMWF uses the TNM wrestling simulator to partially determine the outcomes of matches. Some matches, usually jobber or beginning of the card matches, are totally simulated.

Other matches such as main events and some mid-card matches are only partially simulated. Most outcomes and play-by-play are still determined by the simulator. However, some results will be determined by the role-plays sent by players. Many endings will be changed according to the role-plays and other factors to make it more realistic and exciting. This does not mean necessarily that the simulated win/loss/draw result will be changed. What it means is that, if you do win via the simulator, you can choose to make up your own way that the match ended. For example, according to the simulator Al Blow defeats Tommy Screamer with a moonsault. Al's player, however, writes an RP which says that he wins with the Blow Now. The end result is that the moonsault is changed to the Blow Now.

Role-playing heavily for a match, i.e. match spots, may also help decide the outcome of a match, but , usually, match spots normally don't count toward the win/loss/draw result. The win-loss-draw result of most matches between two different players is determined by the simulator except for the following circumstances:

  • Collaboration between two or more players
The BMWF encourages players to collaborate or work together on matches to build great storylines. Thus two or more players participating in a match can determine the end results of a match.
  • Storyline Purposes
In this case, the win/loss/draw result is still adhered to. However, the final written result will be determined by Role-Plays or storylines. For example, the simulator says that Lowedown defeats Pain with the Downlowe. BMWF Owner Bruiser might change that to "Lowedown defeats Pain by DQ after Darklord comes in and attacks Lowedown." Bruiser will also change the result if he deems a decision to be a detriment to a storyline.  Bruiser will be sole judge as to what falls under this category.
  • No Role-Play From One Player
If a player does NOT role-play for a match, the player's wrestler will be jobbed no matter what the simulator decision was. The job usually will be in the form of a loss by pinfall, DQ or countout, but sometimes will be the match not being played at all, or, even the dreaded 3-Minute-Warning beatdown. For instance, in a Maverick vs. Ravven match, Maverick role-plays for that card, but Ravven does not. By some chance of fate, the simulator says that Ravven wins the match. However, since Ravven didn't role-play, he will be "punished" by having to "job" for that match and Maverick will win the match. Late RPs will be treated as no RPs. If you do not have your RP in by the deadline, don't expect to win your match. In fact, late RPs may not even be added to the show.
  • Totally Ludicrous Simulator Decision
Some simulated decisions are absurd, such as jobbers, by some fluke, beating a highly pushed superstar. Those decisions usually will be changed.

Role-Playing

To become a top BMWF superstar, great role-playing is a must. Role-play will be judged on quality, and not quantity. The better the role-play, the bigger push in the rankings that you will get. A player who just says stuff like, "I'm gonna kick yer *bleep* and that's the bottomline!" won't get as far as one who gives setting descriptions, a good interview, etc.-- basically a script.

While success is not based on quantity of role-play, you must be active. If it seems you are not role-playing at all, your wrestler will "job" and then be dropped completely without warning.

All players must role-play for each show or their wrestler will be jobbed for that show's match.

All players must RP for EVERY show whether they have a match for that show or not.

If you cannot RP for a show, you need to contact Bruiser as soon as possible. E-mailing him shortly before the show or after the show will still get you jobbed. If you are going on vacation or will be away for an extended time, contact Bruiser.

Out role-playing your opponent will not necessarily dictate a win for you. Match decisions are not usually based on whose role-play is the best. Match descriptions RPs (see below) also will not always determine the match decision. The simulator is still the major factor in who the winners are, but sometimes a simulated decision in that case might be overturned in favor of a good role-played decision.

As stated before good role-playing gains you the push making you a star or superstar in the BMWF. In other words, not only will good role-playing allow you to rise in the rankings, it will determine how much "push" you will get on the simulator and, thus, whether you will win more often or not. Superstars get the most TNM push, then stars, then mid-carders, then low carders, then jobbers. You are going to have to do your very best to ever become or defeat a superstar of the BMWF.

If you never EVER role-play, you will never, EVER be a champion or even a major star in the BMWF!! You will soon be off the roster, as a matter of fact.

Also, please be aware that no matter how good of a role-player you are, there are those instances when you will lose a match. No one is above losing a match in the BMWF. This goes for the guy who RP's a novel as well as those who do only a couple of lines.

We reserve the right to rewrite parts of any RP to make it fit in with the show. Usually, this might just be a word or two that must be changed for one reason or the other.

Role-playing is carried out by e-mail with players sending messages to rp@bmwf.net at any time during the week. Perhaps, this is different from most feds, but we will post the role-plays only on the "shows" themselves. You cannot just RP any time on a message board, then have matches. You must RP for each show that your wrestler is scheduled for or else he will be jobbed.

No-Shows

No-show will now be defined as when a person does not RP for a show on which his wrestler is scheduled to appear. If you cannot RP for a show, then you must let me know before the schedule for the week is posted. Laziness, partying, etc. will no longer be an excuse for not RPing. I work 7 days a week and still have time for this, so players should be able to find a few minutes to RP.

A no-show player's wrestler will indeed appear at any show he is scheduled and will no longer be substituted for by a low-carder. For the first no-show, his wrestler will wrestle the match and must job (lose) his scheduled match whether it be by pinfall/submission, DQ or CO. If the match is for the no-show player's title, the match would be a DQ or CO.

If the player no-shows for a second week in a row, his wrestlers will wrestle as in the first week, but any titles held will be forfeited, i.e., the title holder no shows, so his opponent wins by pinfall and gets the title.

The no-show player's wrestler will then be taken off the schedule until he e-mails matches@bmwf.net requesting that he be put back on the schedule. If, after being put back on the schedule, he continues to no-show, he will be indefinitely "suspended" from the BMWF until he can actually play regularly again.

Note that the two week rule does not include one time no-shows. For instance, if a player no-shows a Live, then RPs for the next 4 shows, then no-shows again, the only penalty will be the jobbing of his wrestlers.

Part of the reasoning for this rule is because it is not fair to other players to have to write an RP involving a no-show player's character, then have it totally re-written or thrown out because of a no-show and it is also not fair to have to have their opponents substituted for.

In addition, any no-show will still count negatively towards your push.

Types of Role-Plays

Role-plays in the BMWF are identified as follows:  Storytelling, In Ring Promo, Interview, Bedlam/PPV Match Spots, Live Match Description,  Confrontation, Sneak Attacks, and Match Interference. Each type of role-play is described below.

Note that unless specifically stated in the description, you may NOT use another player's character without his permission.  If you want to use another player's character, then each player involved must send in an e-mail to Bruiser with their approval. This means if you are a member of, let's say, the bWo, and want another player's bWo members to be involved in your RP, you need permission to do so and each player must send in an e-mail. A player may also give  "blanket permission". This means that he can give permission to several members at the same time, such as a group member allowing all of his stable mates to use him.

This also pertains to any situation that would involve another player's character outside of the arena. For instance:

  • You cannot:  Go to the player's home and break all the windows; steal his car and force him to chase you; steal money from bank accounts; kidnap the player and drive him somewhere; etc.
  • You can:  Go to the parking lot and break his car windows; steal a title belt or something he owns while he is wrestling; etc.

Anything violating this rule does NOT have to be sold by the player.

Here are the types of BMWF role-plays:

Storytelling
This is basically a short story or a chapter thereof. These can take place in the locker room, somewhere else in the arena or on location. There is no interviewer present.

Backstage Rant
These are soliloquies or monologues where a wrestler or wrestlers talk about whatever.

In Ring Rant
This is when a wrestler does a speech inside the ring. There is no interviewer present.

Interview
These are the average in ring, on ramp or locker room interviews by an announcer. All interviews should be done by any announcer except for JR Finnegan, the King and Lilly Garcia. This includes "sit-down" interviews. Under no circumstances should any announcer be the victim of a physical attack.

Bedlam Match Spots
Players can write up part of the commentary for their match. This does not mean writing a whole match. This means adding several good spots (series of moves or events). When doing match spots, you should try to keep both players' wrestlers and the announcers in character. The only moves you should have any wrestler do, including your own, should be the moves on your application. Do not give a wrestler any new moves. New moves can only be gained by training. Do not go overboard in trying to make your wrestler super-human. For example, a light heavyweight  is not going to be able to do power moves on a 400 pounder.

Most spots should be written in "BMWF Commentary" format or a combination of Commentary and short "BMWF Action" format.

Full match and ring announcer match introduction write-ups are not needed. You can write your entrance, but the actual ring announcement is not needed.

Players may write up their own endings to matches. When doing this, the player should write up two endings for their matches-- one where their character wins and one where they lose. If you do not write up a losing RP and your wrestler loses, your winning RP may possibly be re-written into a losing RP.

All match spots are subject to change by BMWF staff.

Live Match Descriptions

Players can write copy for their Live house show matches. However, please remember to not make it too one-sided. If you're wrestling a jobber, that is OK, but, it is doubtful that a star would suffer such a squash.

Live match descriptions should basically be a summary of what happened during the match. There are no commentators at Live, so there should be no simulator-like play-by-play. Match descriptions should be described in "BMWF Action" format.

When writing the match descriptions, again, if you write an ending,  you should write two role-plays--one where your man wins and one where he loses.

All match descriptions are subject to change by BMWF staff.

Confrontation
This needs the collaboration of two or more players. With this one player would be doing an interview, when the other player would then come out and interrupt perhaps issuing a challenge or whatever...

..or Player 1 might issue the challenge causing Player 2 to come out and accept or whatever.

Use your imagination.

Sneak Attacks
This is a category where you can involve another player's wrestlers WITHOUT permission. You may use another player's character as subject of the attack. However, you can NOT use another player's wrestlers to help you attack the victim without out their permission. You can have the other player's wrestler defend himself or do something that he would ordinarily do. This is a very touchy subject and should be handled with care.

  • Allowed examples: Walking down a hallway; Opening a door to his locker room and walking through the doorway; Coming into the arena; Walking toward the ring area; Coming out of the bathroom; Working out in the locker room; In the ring during a match or after, etc.
  • Not Allowed examples: Walking down a hallway while doing other actions; Looking around for something; Flushing the toilet and coming out of the john; chasing you or charging after you; getting a drink or water, coffee, whatever; eating; anything that makes him look foolish such as dance around looking stupid, picking his nose, standing in doggie doo doo, etc.

The above are only examples and are by no means exclusive. When in doubt, e-mail us before RPing.

You can also have the sneak attack happen off camera, i.e."The camera cuts to the back where Stone Cold has been laid out in the locker room." However, there must be some explanation within the next couple of shows as to what happened to the victim.

You can drag a character around the arena or outside or whatever. For example, you can now beat the crap out of him, drag him out and down the hallway, into the parking lot and beat him up some more. However, you can not take him away from the arena. For example, you cannot kidnap him and take him to a bridge and dump him off. However, the longer such an attack takes, the more chance it has of backfiring.

All sneak attacks have a slight chance of backfiring. The three major reasons for a backfire are Player Seniority, Length of Attack and Illogicalness.

  • Player Seniority: This basically mean that a newer player will not have a very good chance of a successful sneak attack on a veteran player. The higher push that you have, the more chance of success you will have. If you are low in the rankings it would not be advisable to attack the champions since that would certainly spell disaster for you.
  • Length of Attack: The longer an attack goes on, the more of a chance there is of a wrestler's friends coming to the rescue.
  • Illogicalness: For instance, if your wrestler wants to attack a stable of six wrestlers, well, let's just say that I hope his insurance is paid up! Always make sure it is a logical attack. (Barring the stable's locker room door when going after one member only is not always going to help, for instance.)

Backfires will cause whoever we deem necessary to come to the aid of the victim, i.e. if  Core is getting beatdown by the bWo, the rest of the Union might come out to help.

Unless a player e-mails us ahead of time to the contrary, it will be assumed that all wrestlers are present at all BMWF shows even if they are not scheduled to wrestle on that card. It will be assumed that they are "backstage, but not being used". They will still be susceptible to sneak attacks.

Note that BMWF management will not tolerate any complaints about being sneak attacked. It will mainly be the duty of the players themselves to avoid or counter any attacks. No one is immune from sneak attacks. Even the highest rated stars may have to suffer from an attack.

Counter Attacks
Counter attacks are just that--counters to attacks. You can write a generic counter to an expected attack. All counters are subject to failure just like sneak attacks. For instance, if the bWo were to attack Cash Flo, Cash's counter might not work because of the sheer number of attackers. However, if Lowedown was to attack Cash by himself, Cash would be able to counter the attack easier.

A counter attack RP will be used for only ONE attack. If you want to counter more than one attack, then you must RP for each one.

Sneak Attack and Counter Attack Limits
There are no limits to how many sneak attacks or counters you can do. However, the more you do, the less chance there will be of the attack/counter succeeding.

Match Interference
This is the typical interfering in another person's match. This can be something as simple as "tripping somebody as they rebound off the ropes" to "jumping in the ring and hitting somebody with a chair". Sometimes interference is also determined by the simulator, i.e. manager interference or a past opponent. Interference in a match will not guarantee victory for either wrestler. Remember, no one is immune from match interference. It's a "time honored tradition".

When writing a match interference RP, do not write spots for the wrestlers involved in the match. Write only your attack.

Other Role-Playing Notes:

No Foul Language or Obscene Acts
Profanity is NOT permitted. You can use *BLEEP* or an equivalent as part of your role-playing, for example: "Joe Shmoe, you ugly *BLEEP*! I'm gonna kick your *BLEEP* !!. Also there will be no graphic references to genitalia, sex acts, or perverted stuff allowed. "Suck It" and crotch chops are allowed as well as stuff like "Stick it up your candy @$$!!". Players who violate this rule will be warned the first time and either suspended or removed from the federation for subsequent violations.

Such "censoring" as "sh*t" or s---- is not acceptable. The entire word must be bleeped out with either the word "BLEEP" or symbols such as $#@$. The only exceptions are the words "damn" and "hell" which do not need to be censored.

As a rule, consider what is allowed on regular TV especially the first hour of Smackdown which is always censored.

No Beating Up or Misuse of BMWF Staff and/or Officials
Players are NOT to use BMWF staff characters in their role-plays as assault victims.

All announcers except JR, King and Lilly can be used as interviewers They must be kept in character. They should do nothing but interview your wrestler.

None of the BMWF staff other than the announcers and security can be used in your RP unless approved by BMWF management first.

Character Alignment
For the most part, characters should try to behave in the manner of the alignment they have chosen, i.e., face = good guy, heel = bad guy. Players can turn their characters at any time from one alignment to the other, but this should not be done often as it would be bad for a character to turn every week or two.

Faces do not necessarily have to be a "goody-two-shoes". They should play up to the fans, however. They can do sneak attacks, etc., but should not overdo it.

Heels do not cater to the fans. They do stuff to get the fans to boo them. Sneak attacks and rule-breaking are a way of life for them.

Selling Injuries
Wrestlers may also be injured for storyline purposes or they may receive an injury during a sneak attack. It is up to the victim how well he sells the injury. Most injuries are healed by the next show. (BMWF superstars have amazing recuperative powers.

You are not allowed to give other players' characters permanent or serious injuries such as gun shot or knife wounds, branding, tattooing, anything that causes a permanent scarring, or broken bones. You can cause such items as cuts from chairshots, etc., bruises and the like.

Challenge Board
We also have challenge board for you to use. However, these challenges are NOT a substitute for the e-mail role-play as in some feds. You must still send in the e-mails at least once per show. Click here to access the challenge board.

Vacations and Role-Playing
If you are going to be unable to role-play because of vacations, please e-mail us ahead of time.

No Attachments
We do not accept RPs with or inside attachments. Cut-n-paste them straight into your e-mail program.

Where to Send Role-Plays
Send all role-plays to rp@bmwf.net . Please include the show that the role-play is for in the subject line in order to help keep messages organized.

Training Center, Training Points & Push Points

Training Center

BMWF players can use the Training Center to improve their attributes and learn new moves in the simulator. Each player will receive a number of training points at the end of each month based on their performance for that month. The player can then use those training points to increase his wrestlers attributes, learn new moves, or even gain more characters.

After you receive training points, you are ready to go to the Training Center. Once there, you will fill out the form. See Training Center for more details. Please note that this is not the Training Camp. The Training Center is basically a gym where current players can improve their wrestlers.

Push Points/Rankings
There are two types of Push Points in the BMWF: Simulator and Ranking.

Simulator Push Points (spp) are what the simulator uses to help decide who wins a match. For example, a wrester with 100 simulator push points will most likely defeat a wrestler with only 70 spp. Wresters gain spp only periodically according to their overall role-playing performance including whether they RP or not and how well they RP.

Ranking Push Points (rpp) are used to determine a wrestlers push in the rankings.  Every wrestler is given 70 rpps when they join the BMWF. They then get rpps added when they role-play and subtracted when they don't.

The Push Points are then added with points for your win/loss record and all are multiplied by a certain amount to determine where you stand in the rankings.

HOW TO GAIN PUSH POINTS--

  • Role-play (the better the RP the more--to a certain amount-- that you'll get. You don't get more for extra RP's.)
  • Use Challenge Board (This doesn't gain as much but we still like to see some activity)
  • Be nice to the Commissioner. This doesn't mean that you have to buy Bruiser a new car or send him $500 a week...

HOW TO LOSE PUSH POINTS--

  • No role-plays
  • No Challenge Board use
  • Getting mad and complaining to the Commissioner.
  • Breaking the BMWF rules.
  • Telling the Commissioner what he should do or not do.
Also, please be aware that a larger push means that you are a BMWF Superstar but won't guarantee that you'll win every match. Everybody has to lose sometime!

CARDS AND BOOKING

The BMWF has two weekly shows. Bruiser Bedlam on Mondays is fully scripted. The other show is Live on Fridays which, due to time constraints, only results, interviews, etc. are posted.

Pay Per View events are held on the last Monday of every month and take the place of Bedlam that week. Please refer to the Schedule page.

Each event will only be cancelled in the case of an emergency or holiday.

Role-Plays Deadlines--

  • Bedlam and PPVs--7:00 AM EST Mondays
  • House Shows-- Noon EST Fridays
  • Match Requests--Noon EST Wednesdays

Late RPs might not be used. If the RP does not reach me by the time the match is ready to be played, the wrester will be jobbed.

Match Requests--

All players can send in their match requests each week and are encouraged to do so. Players should send a list of opponents each week that they would like to face. This list should include a first, second and third choices of opponents for each show.  If no requests are made, we will book the wrestler as we see fit.

Champions of the BMWF can have the choice of who they defend the title against. As above, Champions should send a list of opponents each week that they would like to face. This list should include a first, second and third choices of opponents for each show. Also, on the list should be whether the match is title or non-title (each title must be defended at least once every 30 days). If no requests are made, we will book the champion as we see fit in either a title or non-title match.

The matches you choose will be set up by the booking committee in order of importance of the title which is in this order--

1) World Champion
2) I.C. Champion
3) U.S. Champion
4) TV Champion
5) Hardcore Champion
6) Gold Belt Champion
7) Light Heavyweight Champion
8) Tag Champions
9) Ladies Champion

In other words, if the both World Champion and US Champion wanted to face the same guy, the World Champ would get the match. This is why a second and third choice is needed. In the event that none of the matches you ask for can be booked for that particular show we will choose an opponent for you. Also there is no need for a lesser champion to put a higher ranking champion on their list, since the higher champs get first choice.

We reserve the right to veto any match for any reason or to supercede the above rule by booking any match we see fit.

In all cases, this does not guarantee that particular match will be signed. A hint--picking jobbers for a house show can gain you that all important win and build up your win record.

All players can also book matches in advance for future shows up to the date of the next PPV. In other words if you'd like to book all your matches for a month, you could.

The matches cannot be changed after they are posted to the schedule page unless you have a very good reason .

Your ideas for PPV matches will be considered, but final choice will be managements. We will usually base these bookings on your challenges and what angles are currently happening.

New Players or Characters
New characters will have to face our Job Squad as a means of introducing them to the BMWF. These guys also wrestle in tag teams. The "jobbers" have lower statistics than the player characters but matches against them will be simulated as per a normal match.  A jobber cannot normally win a match against a player's wrestler.

Stars may choose to face Jobbers as a way to gain wins. Players should submit requests by e-mail should they wish to have a "jobber" scheduled to face their character. Jobbers are always ready, willing and able to get the crap beat out of them!

Standard Wrestling Rules
The BMWF follows standard wrestling "rules" Typical examples of the standard rules include:

  • choke holds must be broken within a five-count
  • tag teams have a five-count to keep both members in the ring
  • wrestlers have a ten-count to get back into the ring during a match
  • blatant use of illegal objects will lead to disqualification
  • pins must keep both shoulders on the mat for a three-count
  • pin attempts and holds must be broken if the opponent reaches the ropes

Gimmick matches
Most types of gimmick matches are allowed in the BMWF. However, we will not have a card full of barbed wire matches or the like. Most gimmick matches will be allowed only on the PPV's. Players are encouraged to create their own special types of matches and their own stipulations within the restrictions outlined above. All special stipulation matches must be approved by us before they will be scheduled.

Titles and Title Defenses
There are eight singles titles and one tag team titles in the BMWF:

  • The BMWF World Championship
  • The BMWF Intercontinental Championship
  • The BMWF United States Championship
  • The BMWF TV Championship
  • The BMWF Hardcore Championship
  • The BMWF Gold Belt Championship
  • The BMWF Light Heavyweight Championship
  • The BMWF Tag Team Championship
  • The BMWF Women's Championship

In general, all BMWF Championships must be defended at least once per month. They must be defended at every Pay-Per-View except on rare occasions. The Pay-Per-View title defense counts towards the monthly requirement, so there is no need to defend the title at any other event in the month. Of course, any BMWF title holder may choose to defend their belts more often than the minimums required and may be forced to do so if they do not send in match requests.

  • BMWF World Heavyweight Championship
The BMWF World Heavyweight Championship can be won by a wrestler in any weight class. For non-PPV title defenses, it can be defended against the top 5 contenders or other champions. However for PPV title defenses, the match should usually be with the current #1 contender.
  • BMWF Intercontinental Championship
The BMWF Intercontinental Championship can be won by a wrestler in any weight class. The Champion may select any top 10 opponent he wishes.
  • BMWF United States Championship
The BMWF United States Championship can be won by a wrestler in any weight class. It can be defended against the top 15 contenders or other champions.
  • BMWF TV Championship
The BMWF TV Championship can be won by a wrestler in any weight class. It can be defended against the top 20 contenders or other champions.
  • BMWF Hardcore Championship
The BMWF Hardcore Championship can be won by a wrestler in any weight class. It can be defended against the top 20 contenders or other champions. It is defended under Hardcore Rules only.
  • BMWF Gold Belt Championship
The BMWF Gold Belt Championship can be won by a wrestler in any weight class. It can be defended against any male wrestler on the BMWF roster.
  • BMWF Light Heavyweight Championship
The BMWF Light Heavyweight Championship can only be won by a wrestler weighing 235 lbs. or less. It can be defended against any opponent who falls into that weight class.
  • BMWF Tag Team Championship
The BMWF Team Championship can be won by any tag team consisting of two wrestlers in any weight class. It can be defended against any tag team consisting of two wresters.
  • BMWF Women's Championship
The BMWF Women's Championship can only be won by a female wrestler. It can be defended against any female opponent.

List of Moves
You can now download the moves list from my copy of the sim. This includes many moves not listed above which have come from several years of add-ons to the sim, plus moves with stats created by me. This file contains some duplicated moves such as three versions of the hurricanrana (or however it's spelled). The file also includes many moves that are already in use as finishers such as the Stunner and Tombstone, so these are still not available for use by anyone else. Also, the list tells how much damage a move does as well as all the counters.
Click here to download the moves list zip file.

BMWF Action Format:
Actions should be encased in parentheses. For example:

(Bruiser walks over to the Rock and breaks the Great One's guitar over Rock's head.)

BMWF Speech Format:
Spoken parts of an RP should be similar to the following:

ROCK: What in the blue heck did you hit The Rock in the head with The Rock's guitar for?

BRUISER: 'Cause you're a jackass! What?

Note that quotation marks are not needed.

BMWF Sound Effects Format:

The following is an example of the way a sound effect can be written:

*SMASH!*

Note that you can add a few more *s if you want.

Putting it all together:

Here is the entire sample RP as it would appear on Bedlam:

(Bruiser walks over to the Rock and breaks the Great One's guitar over Rock's head.)

*SMASH!*

ROCK: What in the blue heck did you hit The Rock in the head with The Rock's guitar for?

BRUISER: 'Cause you're a jackass! What?
